The month of May has almost concluded, and with that comes one of the last promised events in Pokemon GO. The Ultra Space Wonders event will add the remaining Ultra Beasts from the main franchise to the popular mobile title. These creatures are Naganadel, Stakataka, and Blacephalon.

However, what many players may be wondering is when exactly these new creatures are expected to make their grand debut. Thankfully, Niantic has presented us with information stating that we can expect these monsters to arrive on May 23, 2024. Here is everything to know about each creature.

When is Naganadel coming to Pokemon GO?

Once Ultra Space Wonders goes live for players on May 23, players will be able to add Naganadel to their collection by evolving the Poipole they received prior. After catching 20 Dragon-types with Poipole as their buddy, they can spend 200 Poipole candies to evolve it into Naganadel.

Naganadel is an optimally balanced Poison and Dragon-type who excels at dealing damage. While speed was its second-highest stat in the main series, it is unclear if this will be translated into Pokemon GO in any capacity. This could come in the form of a boosted stamina stat, but that is mere speculation.

When is Stakataka coming to Pokemon GO?

Much like other Ultra Beast events, Stakataka will arrive in a bit of an odd way. It will be available for a limited time through Five-Star Raid Battles, but only in the eastern hemisphere. This is a practice Niantic has used several times for bosses like Deoxys' multiple forms, the Sinnoh Lake Trio, and other Ultra Beasts.

Stakataka is a Rock and Steel-type who serves well in the main series with some utility support in the form of Trick Room. Outside of this, its type combination is incredibly weak as it is left devastatingly exposed to Ground and Fighting-type attacks. As such, it is clear that Stakataka's competitive viability will be affected by GO's removal of utility.

When is Blacephalon coming to Pokemon GO?

Blacephalon will hit the game at the same time as the others, on May 23. Much like Stakataka, Blacephalon will be available through Five-Star Raid Battles, but only in the west hemisphere at the time of its debut. It would be safe to assume that it will be available globally for its next rotation as a Raid Boss.

Blacephalon is a Ghost and Fire-type with the gimmick of dealing as much damage as it can in a single turn with its Mind Blown signature move. While its playstyle will remain somewhat similar to its glass cannon stat spread, Blacephalon's movepool will be the factor that makes or breaks its viability.
