3 NWO Wrestlers who should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with the group, and 3 who shouldn't be

At the end of every year, the WWE begins building up toward Wrestlemania season, the three-month grind which includes the Royal Rumble, which determines the main event of the grandest spectacle in sports entertainment, and the night before WrestleMania tradition, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

It's a chance for WWE to pay tribute to those wrestlers upon whose shoulders the entire industry was built. At times, it also serves as an olive branch offered to talent who may have become disenchanted with the WWE.

The announcements for Hall of Fame inductions are always met with a clamor from the fans and pundits who follow sports entertainment. There are always those who believe that undeserving men and women get the Hall of Fame nod, while some wrestling legends remain conspicuous by their absence.

That being said, there was little denying that the NWO as a group deserved an induction. However, many folks are wondering if the four men to be inducted--Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X Pac--are the only NWO members who deserve the recognition.

Here are three former NWO members who definitely deserve to be inducted, and three who do not.

Deserves to be in the HOF #1: Scott Steiner

One of the premier members of the NWO was Scott Steiner, aka Big Poppa Pump.

There's no denying that the NWO membership became bloated and overblown after a while. Lower tier wrestlers were allowed in, which diminished the special feel of the faction.

WCW management seemed to realize the disparity, in that they came up with an alternate NWO theme song that the fans dubbed the "NWO B Team" song.

One man who never came out to the B team song was Scott Steiner. For a long time, he and his brother Ric had ruled the international tag team scene. Whether it was the NWA, WCW, WWE, or in Japan they wound up wearing the gold.

However, Hulk Hogan saw in Scott Steiner a sort of successor and convinced Scott to betray his brother and join the NWO. Steiner would also end up winning the WCW World title before the company's collapse. He is surely deserving of HOF recognition.

Doesn't Deserve to be in the Hall of Fame #1: Vincent/Virgil

Vincent or Virgil, he never seemed to catch on with fans.
Vincent or Virgil, he never seemed to catch on with fans.

When former Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase joined the NWO as their official spokesman, it was done primarily for nostalgia's sake. DiBiase's in-ring days were behind him, and so he was never intended to compete as part of the NWO faction.

But in order to further tap into the 1980s nostalgia, WCW hired the former Virgil, who used to be Ted Dibiase's bodyguard, then rival. Virgil had several questionable gimmicks in the WWE before he signed with WCW, including dressing in drag as his aunt "Virgilina."

Virgil was renamed Vincent to troll Vince McMahon and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing of consequence for the next several years. His main claim to fame was being the first one laid out by whichever babyface the NWO swarmed that week.

Virgil is one of the most controversial figures in wrestling these days because of his erratic behavior and self-aggrandizing antics.

Deserves to be in the Hall of Fame #2: Curt Hennig

The man known by millions as Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig is already in the WWE Hall of Fame on his own merit. However, his pivotal role in the NWO should warrant his inclusion with the group.

Curt Hennig was the lynchpin of one of the NWO's greatest and most successful schemes; the destruction of the Four Horsemen. Hennig was courted by Ric Flair for months, as the Nature Boy saw him as a natural member of the Horsemen. However, Hennig kept refusing the offer, though he was careful to show respect to Flair.

Finally, the retirement of Arn Anderson, and Anderson's heartfelt speech led to Hennig accepting Flair's offer to become the New Enforcer, replacing Double A. Everything seemed great, until War Games when Hennig betrayed the horsemen and beat down Flair so badly he wasn't seen for months.

Hennig's pivotal role in the NWO warrants his inclusion in the HOF as part of the group.

Doesn't Deserve to be in the Hall of Fame #2: Buff Bagwell

We mentioned before that the NWO was flooded with lower-tier wrestlers after a while. You don't get much lower tier than Buff Bagwell.

Marcus Alexander Bagwell was one of WCW's first 'homegrown' talents. He was very young and inexperienced when he was first signed to the company in the early 1990s, but the company thought he was a future star and had him mentored by big names such as Masahiro Chono.

Bagwell would eventually be paired with fellow young blue-chipper Scotty Riggs, who he teamed up with as the American Males. They won the tag team titles as underdogs against Harlem Heat and then proceeded to slide into obscurity.

Bagwell improved his physique, if not his in-ring game, and was soon drafted into the NWO, betraying his former partner. But with Scott Steiner already having done the same thing, it just didn't have much impact with fans.

Deserves to be in the Hall of Fame #3: Konnan

Konnan was not the first man to join the NWO. Nor was he the second. As a matter of fact, he was the SIXTEENTH member to be drafted into the faction.

But Konnan had an indelible influence upon the New World Order, and there's no question of that. Before Konnan, the NWO behaved and dressed like a typical heel faction, albeit with megastars on their roster.

After Konnan, the NWO changed their clothing, mannerisms, and tactics to more closely resemble an urban street gang. Konnan was also part of two different variations of the New World Order, 'regular' NWO and the babyface NWO Wolfpac.

Because of his influence, and him being one of the sole Latino members of the faction, Konnan should be inducted along with the New World Order in the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania.

Doesn't Deserve to be in the Hall of Fame #3: Bryan Adams

If you forgot that the former Crush, Bryan Adams, was in the NWO, you're not alone.
If you forgot that the former Crush, Bryan Adams, was in the NWO, you're not alone.

The NWO started to feel less special over time, and a big culprit for that was the penchant of WCW management to stuff incoming ex-WWE talent into the stable rather than coming up with something else for them to do.

One such man was Bryan Adams, AKA Crush from both Demolition and on his own as a brightly colored doofus with the single lamest finisher in pro wrestling history.

Bryan Adams had the size, and the look, to be a superstar wrestler. However, he did not have the charisma. It didn't matter how big he was, or how capable in the ring. The sad fact is Bryan Adams could not resonate with the fans, despite many attempts being made in both WWE and WCW to get him over.

Adams didn't do anything as a member of the NWO that was noteworthy. He did capture the tag titles as a member of the team Kronik, but at that point, WCW was on the wane and almost no one remembers that accolade.
