WWE Power Rankings : 29 November 2014

Survivor Series was ground breaking, period. There were so much for the fans to cheer about the pay-per-view that it even gave them the impression of an improve WWE product. But all those expectations and impression came down crashing like a glass castle when WWE gave out their usual crap on the week that followed Survivor Series. The writers failed to carry the momentum forward from Survivor Series and still hasn’t answered a lot of puzzling questions like, what was Sting doing. The in ring action wasn’t anything great compared to the things we got to see on Sunday as well, and here is a look at how the pay-per-view and the week that followed impacted the weekly Power Rankings.

#25 Natalya (Previous Rank Nil)

Natalya led her team to a victory at Survivor Series and carried that momentum to Raw and Main Event as well. it was a week full of wins for the Hart family member which helps her to secure a place in the Power Rankings even if it’s only at an entry level of things.

#24 Adam Rose (Previous Rank 24)

Adam Rose did pick up a win at Survivor Series but it’s his bunny that deserves the credit. The duo however failed to produce the same magic over the week as they picked up numerous loses and further exposed the friction that exist between Rose and his Rosebuds.

#23 Brie Bella (Previous Rank 23)

Brie shocked the WWE Universe on Sunday when she kissed AJ Lee, which eventually cost AJ her championship. The two divas then locked horns on Monday night as well where Brie came out on top. That win against the former Divas Champion helps Brie to keep her place in Power Rankings intact.

#22 Los Matadores (Previous Rank 21)

There were many doubts about Los Matadores being in a tag team championship match at Survivor Series and their eventual loss underlined those doubts. Failure to get hold of the championship drops then one place in the rankings and WWE should really think about dropping the ridiculous gimmick.

#21 Fandango (Previous Rank Nil)

A new and improved Fandango made his debut at Survivor Series alongside Rosa. His new costume and theme was clearly impressive but what stole the show was his aggressive style in between the ropes. Fandango picked up two great wins and earns a place in the Power rankings as well.

#20 Kane (Previous Rank 20)

Kane lasted longer than everyone expected in the Survivor Series main event but that wasn’t enough to steer his team to a much needed victory. The end of Authority has pushed Kane into a pit from which it would be pretty hard for him to escape especially since Ryback looks determined.

#19 Mark Henry (Previous Rank -19)

All those buildup that Mark Henry had for his heel turn went in vain when the company booked him like a jobber throughout the week. He was the first to be eliminated at Survivor Series and then suffered a defeat to Ryback on Raw. However, Henry holds on to his position in the Power Rankings but next week will be a different story.

#18 Jack Swagger (Previous Rank Nil)

The Real American got an unexpected win at Survivor Series when he overcame his former tag team partner Cesaro. He also rebooted his feud with Rusev last week which in turn is sure to land him a United Championship title shot in the near future.

#17 Tyson Kidd (Previous Rank 18)

Kidd’s luck when it comes to winning match has clearly brightened up. He has been piling up wins for fun but the thing is, he is still stuck with inferior opponents. The wins however help Kidd to jump one place in the ranking and his friction with Natalya is forming the underlying subplot.

#16 Paige (Previous Rank 14)

Many expected Paige to be the sole survivor for her team at Survivor Series but she ended up getting eliminated earlier. Paige’s run as one of the top divas in the division apparently came to an end when she dropped out of the feud with AJ Lee and might soon end up being a wasted talent like Cesaro or Natalya.

#15 Dust Brothers (Previous Rank 12)

The Dust Brothers had the odds stacked against them on Sunday and ended up losing the championship to Miz and Mizdow. The creepy brothers failed to capitalize their rematch opportunity on Monday Night Raw as well and these losses drop them down three places in the ranking.

#14 Big Show (Previous Rank 15)

The World’s largest Athlete pulled off a horrible heel turn at the Survivor Series main event but still ended up being in the winning side. WWE Universe was in no mood to hear the apology he had to say and Show now has to answer Erick Rowan who is out to seek revenge.

#13 Ryback (Previous Rank 16)

Despite CM Punk taking all those shots at him, Ryback came out looking good throughout this week. He was on the winning side on Sunday and got a big one over Mark Henry on Raw. The Big Guy has drawn Battle lines with Kane for TLC and it is going to be a great match for sure.

#12 The Usos (Previous Rank 11)

The WWE Universe would’ve loved to see another Tag team title reign from the Usos but that didn’t happen. Their loss at Survivor Series in the fatal four way tag team match costs the brothers on place in the ranking as they move farther away from the top ten spot.

#11 Luke Harper (Previous Rank 9)

Winning the Intercontinental championship was clearly a big deal for Harper but his luck didn’t back him at Survivor Series or the week that followed. His losses against Team Cena and Dolph Ziggler takes Harper out of the top ten, into where he will be eager to get back.

#10 AJ Lee (Previous Rank 6)

AJ Lee’s latest Divas Championship reign came to an abrupt end when Nikki defeated her in under thirty seconds. AJ is obviously angered by the heroics of the Bellas but couldn’t turn that frustration into a win at Raw as well. However, she still has a rematch clause in her hands which will be banked in sooner or later.

#9 Miz and Mizdow (Previous Rank 17)

Miz and Mizdow shoots straight into the top ten after winning the tag team championships. The duo deserved the gold for the efforts they were putting into their character. It may be all happiness after the title wins, but the underlying friction between the two is always ready to explode at some point.

#8 Nikki Bella (Previous Rank 13)

Nikki’s great run over the past couple of months saw its benefits on Sunday when she defeated AJ Lee in a short match. The title win has also cooled down her relationship with Brie Bella which was indeed the biggest surprise that came out from all this chaos.

#7 Bray Wyatt (Previous Rank 8)

Bray won his match against Ambrose via disqualification but it’s not always about the win for him. He was successful in bringing out the monster inside the Lunatic Fringe and will be looking to take things a step further at TLC where the two will clash in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

#6 Rusev (Previous Rank 5)

Rusev is still not pinned by anyone in the Main roster as WWE intelligently kept the record intact on Sunday. Rusev might’ve ended up on the losing side when he played as part of a team but as a singles superstar, Rusev hasn’t lost a beat and the battle royal win at SmackDown was a prime example for the same.

#5 Seth Rollins (Previous Rank 2)

Seth Rollins arguably delivered the performance of his career at Survivor Series. He was instrumental in almost all the elimination of Team Cena but that wasn’t enough to save the Authority from sinking. Rollins will now have to pay for everything he has done so far and it won’t be any pretty.

#4 Dean Ambrose (Previous Rank 4)

Ambrose did lose his match against Bray Wyatt on Sunday but he was standing tall in the end. He matched up with the madness that Bray brought into the table and this is why everyone was so excited about this feud in the first place.

#3 John Cena (Previous Rank 3)

The Cenation leader was heavily overshadowed on Sunday and rightfully so. It was his team that ended the Authority’s reign and even if Cena wasn’t there till the then, he deserves some sort of credit for being there and standing up to Hunter and Stephanie in the first place.

#2 Dolph Ziggler (Previous Rank 10)

Ziggler finally gets to the ranking which he deserves. It was his underdog story that stood out at the Survivor Series main event and the fans were firmly behind him as well. The big question however is: where is WWE taking Ziggler after giving him a push like that on Sunday.

#1 Brock Lesnar (Previous Rank 1)

Lesnar was not there for Survivor Series also but the fans did get some form of compensation in form of Paul Heyman. Even Heyman would be aware of the crap that WWE is trying to feed their fans and maybe that’s why his words about Lesnar seemed a bit toned down than usual.
