The very Christmas-y edition of raw kicked off a few hours ago and ended in splendid fashion. The Hulkster opened the show dressed as Santa Claus and had some decisions to make. Rowdy Roddy Piper returned too with the Piper’s Pit segment where Rusev and Lana were his guests. This week saw Cena picking up an obvious, repetitive win over Rollins, a continuation of the Wyatt-Ambrose feud, Christmas themes ruling the night and Ziggler showcasing his awesomenessHere are the five promising developments from this Raw for the very near future.

#1 Wyatt takes the lead

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt faced each other in a street fight. Of course, because it’s Christmas, the match was called the ‘Miracle on 34th Street fight’.

To say that they tried to decimate each other is an understatement thought in all of its entirity, this match was about decimation. Wyatt scored the win and he’s leading in this feud but Ambrose was the one standing tall after gracing Wyatt face with a fire extinguisher. These are two very unhinged characters, but they both stand out in their own way.

Ambrose’s elbow wearing the wreath around his neck or the ‘One More Tree’ chants or Ambrose smiling after going through a table were some of the quirks of this match.

#2 Ziggler continues to Show Off

This year we’ve seen Ziggler win the Intercontinental title thrice and be the Sole Survivor at Survivor Series. Seeing the 34-year-old wear that title has made him become synonymous with that title.

He is surely on his way to becoming one of the greatest IC Champions ever. The title has renewed its relevance with Ziggler’s renewed push. The crowd support refuses to die down. He had a great match with Luke Harper and ended up winning the match despite being attacked before the match even began.

He has been the true underdog story this year. He is not only showing off, but he’s also showing this humble side where he’s thanking the audience for making him what he is today.

#3 The reaction for Paige

It is quite a task to remember the last time a diva was getting a desirable reaction. AJ Lee usually ends up getting ‘CM Punk’ chants.

And then there is Paige. During the very underwhelming Survivor Series Divas Tag Match, Paige ended up being the only surviving member from her team, but she was set to go against four divas from the other team. the crowd was unanimously on her side. She ended up losing soon after.

This Raw saw her in another pointless tag match, but she got quite a pop from the crowd who were already chanting ‘We Want Paige.’

#4 Ryback gets his moment

Rusev made his appearance on Piper’s Pit and Lana began the segment by her usual tirade on America and how Christmas here is just a farce. This was Ryback’s nght to get even with Rusev. This feud is accentuated by the feat of strength displayed by both of them.

The crowd chanted ‘Feed Me More’ clearly looking forward to the face off between these two. This has been Ryback’s most awaited feuds, as it seems there’s finally someone with whom he can have some decent in-ring chemistry and Ryback seriously has a chance to get crushed as Rusev is the one with the most momentum.

#5 The Ascension is Coming

WWE Raw saw a promo being aired hyping the debut of The Ascension. It surely could have had much more finesse in the acting out part butthe music in the background and the words that were uttered were enough to make anyone look forward to being ‘welcome to the wasteland’.

Sure, they don’t appear to be much different if we compare them to former WWE tag teams but they sure look cool. If their NXT run is any indication, they do have a lot of potential to bank on.
