Sergio Ramos: A Brief Biography

Sergio Ramos is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a center-back for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Ramos is regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation and is renowned for his aerial threat, interceptions, leadership, and physicality.

Early Life

Sergio Ramos was born on March 30, 1986, in the Andalusian city of Camas, Spain. Ramos was a talented footballer from a young age and joined his local team, Sevilla FC's youth academy, when he was just 14 years old.

Club Career

Ramos began his professional career with Sevilla FC in 2004. He played one season for the club, during which he made 41 appearances and scored two goals. His performances caught the attention of Real Madrid, who signed him in the summer of 2005.

Ramos joined for a then-record fee of €27 million. He quickly established himself as a key player for the team, playing mainly as a center-back but also occasionally as a right-back. Over the course of his 16-year career with Real Madrid, Ramos won numerous domestic and international titles, including five La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, and four UEFA Champions League trophies.
