Survivor Series is just 4 days away, and the match-card has been altered a lot in the past two days. Daniel Bryan won the WWE title to replace AJ Styles in his match against Brock Lesnar, while Becky Lynch had to replace herself with Charlotte Flair due to injury.
This also means that Flair will no longer be a part of team SmackDown at Survivor Series, leaving the fifth spot on the team vacant.
The current 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series female tag team elimination match line-up is as follows - Team RAW (Mickie James, Nia Jax, Tamina Snuka, Ruby Riott, and Natalya ) vs Team SmackDown Live (Naomi, Asuka, Sonya Deville, Carmella, and TBD). Team RAW looks quite strong and may walk away with the victory.
However, team SD Live needs to field 5 female superstars in order to avoid an early deficit in the match. Here are the 2 female superstars who should be revealed as the final member of team SmackDown and 2 who should not.
#1 Should be - Nikki Cross
Nikki Cross who is the lone female member of SmackDown's faction SAnitY, made her in-ring debut on the blue brand during the UK special episode. She squared off against SD Live Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, in a classic match-up, but tapped out to the DisArm-her.
Cross could be revealed as the final member of the SD Live team, and given the talent she possesses, this might be the perfect launch-pad for her. The SmackDown women's division is stacked, and for Nikki Cross to make an impact, she needs to be on the team at Survivor Series.
#1 Should not be - Mandy Rose
Mandy Rose pulled off an epic promo on the UK special episode of SmackDown Live where she destroyed the entire SD Live women's team. She even teased a break-up with her best friend and ally, Sonya Deville.
It seems like WWE Creative indeed has a big storyline in the works for The Golden Goddess. She eliminated Sonya in the Evolution Battle Royal and then questioned her presence in the team instead of staying silent and standing in team SmackDown's corner at Survivor Series.
Rose possesses the wrestling abilities and good mic skills which could help establish her as one of the top female superstars in the company.
WWE could even draw heat towards her by having her refuse an opportunity to compete despite Paige's best attempts to convince her. Mandy could even go on to help team RAW to make sure the blue brand loses, elevating herself to the next level.
#2 Should be - Maria Kanellis
While the WWE Universe expected Maria to continue as her husband's mouthpiece and stand in his corner on RAW, a few noticed that only Mike Kanellis was traded to RAW. Maria Kanellis is still listed as a SmackDown Superstar on WWE's official website, and the creative team could pull off a surprise by revealing Maria Kanellis as the fifth member of team SmackDown.
This same situation had risen in 2017 as Natalya was revealed as the 5th member of team SmackDown Live. However, WWE could this time re-introduce Maria as an in-ring performer at Survivor Series.
She looked in great shape after she returned at the Evolution battle royale. Kanellis possesses brilliant mic skills and a strong showing at WWE Survivor Series may also lead to an epic feud between Maria and Becky Lynch.
#2 Should not be - Paige
Yesterday, the rumor mill was abuzz with the rumor that the current SD Live General Manager and former Divas Champion, Paige, was cleared to make her in-ring return.
However, considering the injuries she has had in the past, WWE Creative should not allow her make a return. Especially given the botches which happened during the SD Live females' invasion on RAW, Paige should kept as far as possible from the ring.
