The Heartbreak Kid began his wrestling career in 1984 as part of the NWA and joined WWE in 1987. He was one of the top in-ring performers for the global juggernaut until his retirement in 2010. In recent years, he has become the creative head of NXT, shaping the future of the industry.

#3 Seth Rollins and Shawn Michaels are no strangers to each other

Many current stars have been compared to HBK, but not one of them arguably came as close as Seth Rollins. The former world champions are known for their athletic skills and impressive character work. It's no wonder that the Hall of Famer would have wanted to face The Visionary, which was even teased in the past.

In 2015, both men had a heated exchange inside the ring. The segment showed just how similar they were in terms of their promo abilities and charisma. They would have delivered a stellar match if they had faced off in the ring in the past.

#2 Shawn Michaels has already faced Cody Rhodes in WWE

Out of all the three names Shawn Michaels has named, Cody Rhodes is the only person he has actually shared the ring with. However, this was only when the former was in a tag team with Triple H as part of D-Generation X and the latter was with Ted DiBiase Jr. in Legacy between 2009 and 2010.

Rhodes has since experienced a career resurgence, becoming known as The American Nightmare and the current Undisputed WWE Champion. Michaels and Rhodes' wrestling styles would have meshed well if they locked horns in a one-on-one match.

While Michaels is known for his aerial moves, Rhodes is more of a technical performer. Hence, they could have impressed fans with their chemistry inside the squared circle.

Both Michaels and The Maverick are flashy performers and can also entertain the crowd. Hence, a match between the two could have been an all-time classic, with HBK portraying a babyface character and Paul playing a despised villain.
