#2 WWE didn't opt for "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series

There wouldn't have been any match bigger than Brock Lesnar vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at this year's Survivor Series PPV.

As much as we would like to see two unstoppable forces collide with each other on a big stage, WWE made a level-headed decision by pitting Rey Mysterio against The Beast Incarnate.

Surely, it wouldn't be as unpredictable as the aforementioned bout. However, as recent history has shown us again, WWE can't take the risk of booking something enormous, only to end up booking themselves into a corner as a result.

As unpredictable as Lesnar vs. Wyatt would have been, there are only limited ways to keep fans happy after it is all said and done.

We have seen how people revolted at the end of Rollins vs. Wyatt at this year's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. While that is a completely different scenario altogether, it shows us that booking The Fiend requires a unique approach in the end.

You can't just expect The Fiend and Brock Lesnar to battle it out in a one-off match without having any repercussions. And if this match were to extend into a feud following Survivor Series, it would completely interfere with plans surrounding Rey Mysterio's revenge against The Beast Incarnate.

So in a nutshell, while pushing away the Universal Champion and WWE Champion from each other might seem like a missed opportunity at this stage, pitting Lesnar against Mysterio was a safe decision to make. On top of that, who knows what lies ahead for Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series?
