Two excellent Heel vs Heel matches

Tonight on Raw, Bayley shocked the WWE Universe to its core as she turned heel and joined forces with her best friend Sasha Banks. WWE Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and SmackDown Live Women's Champion Bayley went toe-to-toe with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in the main event of the night.

The match fell apart when Sasha Banks came out and attacked Lynch. Bayley hinted at stopping her, but then let out an evil smile and began a dastardly attack on a fallen Lynch.

Now, Bayley is all set to face Charlotte Flair at Clash of Champions, with the WWE SmackDown Live Women's title on the line. As of now, both these women are heels going into the match.

This presents an intriguing scenario to the fans and one that hasn't been done much in the past. Let's go back in time and look at 5 greatest "Heel vs Heel" matches in WWE history.

#5 Kurt Angle vs Triple H, Royal Rumble 2001

At the time, Kurt Angle was the WWE Champion, and was a heel. Triple H, also a heel, had been dominating the title picture for a year at that point. This was a big match between two top stars of that era, with WWE factoring in the romance angle between Kurt and Stephanie from last year.

The bout was chaotic to say the least, with Trish Stratus, Angle's friend, and Stephanie McMahon fighting at ringside, plus Vince McMahon breaking the fight up due to his storyline affection toward Trish.

Stone Cold also got involved in the end, as he attacked The Game, helping Angle pick up the win and keep the title around his waist. Angle didn't hold the title for long though, as the Rock defeated him at No Way Out 2001 to win the gold.
