5 Superstars you won't believe are good friends with Roman Reigns

The Big Dog is sorely missed
The Big Dog is sorely missed

In the world of professional wrestling, especially WWE, gravitating the audience's attention plays a significant role in elevating the stature of a superstar.

After John Cena entered the frame as Vince McMahon's golden boy, the Doctor of Thuganomics ruled the P.G. Era and propelled to become the face of the WWE.

Since the 16-World Champion had to pass the torch someday, it was Roman Reigns, who became the company's Chosen One and rose to the occasion to rule the world of professional wrestling.

While the WWE Universe had been pretty vocal about his push on Monday Night Raw, the Big Dog has been pretty decent in bringing more mainstream attention and value to his stock.

The four-time WrestleMania headliner is one of the biggest marketable superstars in the company's history and has cemented his position as one of the most incredible human beings to ever grace the squared circle.

Considering that the former Universal Champion had to relinquish his belt to get immediate treatment for leukaemia, the Big Dog's return is still under wraps and has always caused a heated debate among the internet wrestling community.

Since the Big Dog addressed himself as ''Joe'' Anoa'i on his final segment before leaving, the former WWE Champion enjoys a pretty decent life outside of the sports entertainment business, where he has managed to share a lot of incredible friendships with many of his peers.

While Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Braun Strowman have maintained a solid friendship with the Big Dog, there are many superstars the former WWE Champion shares a close bond with. Who are they? Let's find out.

Here are the 5 superstars you won't believe are friends with Roman Reigns.

#1 Matt Hardy

Will Matt delete Roman's Leukemia in a parallel world?

Considering that Roman Reigns has a huge responsibility of being a locker room leader, the Big Dog definitely shares an interesting camaraderie with one half of perhaps the most popular tag-team in the company's history, Matt Hardy.

The former Cruiserweight Champion has been vocal of his adulation for the 33-year old superstar and openly stated his desire to have a dream match with Roman before he retires.

On his latest visit to India, the 'Woken' maniac spoke of his dream to work with the Big Dog one day whilst wishing him all the best for his future.

When asked upon a future dream encounter, Matt Hardy opined :

I would say that one person that I would be dreaming before retirement because I haven’t got a chance to work with him. Now he’s gonna be gone for a little bit in future…it’ll be Roman Reigns. He is kind of a guy that WWE built around and I do I like him a lot as a person consider my friend. So I would love to have a Matt Hardy vs. Roman Reigns match before retirement.”

While Hardy's in-ring career may have suffered an unfortunate halt, him wanting to cross paths with the former Universal Champion before retirement only justifies his admiration for Reigns.

#2 Titus O'Neil

Titus O'Neil is definitely one of the most respected individuals in the entire world of professional wrestling and his incredible charity work is a testament to his nature.

Considering that he has always been a vocal representative of Vince McMahon's billion dollar company, O'Neil shares a very good relationship with the company's Big Dog.

O'Neil also posted a heartfelt video with Roman Reigns' little cousin in the backstage area right before Monday Night Raw in 2017; a video which also features the former Universal Champion in a cheerful mood.

Roman Reigns certainly has his critics within the squared circle, but he has maintained a very strong bond with O'Neil, with the latter sharing his travel pictures with the Big Dog on social media platforms.

With O'Neil continuing to be such a strong ambassador for championing the society, we hope he continues to bring more optimism and happiness in Roman Reigns' life.

#3 Daniel Bryan

Do we need another cracking feud between these two?
Do we need another cracking feud between these two?

There's no denying that Daniel Bryan was an influential component in the fans' turning their backs on Roman Reigns when the latter went on to win the Royal Rumble in 2015.

Since the fans wanted to see Bryan lock horns with Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 31, the company booked a solid match between the two in order to make Reigns earn his spot at the Show of Shows.

The two tore the house down and Bryan was successful in presenting Roman as a fantastic in-ring performer. The Big Dog remains thankful for what Bryan did for him in 2015 and has openly stated that he would be the only superstar he would want to turn heel against.

While we have seen these two compete before, a future bout between the two could make for an electric atmosphere, possibly in the main event of WrestleMania.

Regardless of their in-ring showdowns, Bryan and Reigns have remained good friends with each other, with the Big Dog always advocating himself as one of Bryan's biggest admirers to date.

#4 Sasha Banks

Another WWE superstar who shares a very good relationship with the Big Dog is the former Raw Women's Champion, Sasha Banks.

Both the superstars also teamed up together on Monday Night Raw in 2016 and were successful in outshining the force of Charlotte Flair and Rusev, prior to their individual bouts going into Hell in a Cell.

Banks was certainly heartbroken after she heard the unfortunate news of Roman Reigns suffering from Leukaemia, but the Boss remains optimistic and wishes to see her friend return to rule the squared circle very, very soon.

The former Raw Women's Champion put over Roman Reigns when asked about the Big Dog and admitted to 'the guy' being the most hardworking person she has ever met in the entire wrestling business.

Considering the fact that Banks got teary-eyed whilst speaking about the 4-time WrestleMania headliner, it definitely presents Roman as a very selfless leader behind the scenes.

#5 Chris Jericho

Despite leaving Vince McMahon's billion dollar company, Chris Jericho remains in touch with all his peers in the WWE.

One of them is Roman Reigns. Y2J has always been a vocal supporter of the Big Dog and considers him one of the greatest WWE wrestlers of this generation.

The former United States Champion certainly wanted to have a lengthy feud with the former Universal Champion and even pitched several interesting ideas to Vince McMahon.

While he may have not shared that fair amount of time with the 33-year old superstar, he remains socially connected with Roman, with the Alpha of the wrestling business admitting having a Whatsapp group with the Big Dog and many other of his peers in the WWE.

Jericho has always displayed his class as a performer in the wrestling business and judging by his fondness for Roman, we only hope that the bond continues to grow stronger.
