2020 promises to be a year full of interesting developments in WWE, but before the year begins there's one final pit-stop. The final RAW of the year could be full of several interesting swerves that could set the stage for a very eventful 2020.

In this article, I will try and list out a few surprises that could potentially happen. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you think any of these is likely to happen.

Also, did you enjoy the year of wrestling that WWE bestowed upon us in 2019, ladies and gentlemen? Be sure to let me know your thoughts below.

And with that said, I begin my article.

#5 Brock Lesnar's next challenger is finally revealed

While we can talk about what WWE did in 2019, one of the brand new properties that Sportskeeda launched in the year was our podcast- Dropkick DiSKussions. In one of the episodes, our experts Korey Gunz and Tom Colohue talk about Brock Lesnar's next potential challenger and list out a whole bunch of names, including Ricochet, who I believe could certainly be a potential contender for sure. Lesnar enjoys working with Superstars who are smaller than he is, and Ricochet is certainly someone that fits the role.

WWE's roster is so very stacked at this moment that I can actually imagine a whole bunch of eligible Superstars, who would be perfect for the role, including Rusev. Rusev could be the stepping stone to Bobby Lashley for Lesnar, which is significant because Lesnar vs. Lashley has been hailed as a dream match for years.

I do believe that Lesnar will carry his title all the way to WrestleMania, but we could learn who he's facing at the Royal Rumble on this week's RAW.

#4 The Usos make a return

It just seems like The Viking Raiders rule the roost on RAW and there's no team that can realistically challenge them at this point, does it not? Well, there's a massive comeback in the works that could absolutely shake up the landscape of the roster.

The Usos are due to make a return very soon indeed, and as was revealed not long ago by Sportskeeda's own Tom Colohue there's a reason we haven't seen them in action for a while now:

The Usos are due back soon. They have a limited-term contract, whereby they only have to work so many dates, so you often get large patches that they and Naomi are missing in action. Last year it was just after WrestleMania, for example, we didn’t see them for a long time.

The return of The Usos will be a significant development because, in time, they can also potentially work with the likes of The AoP.

#3 Andrade dumps Zelina Vega

As a lot of us are well-aware Andrade shocked the world when he became the WWE United States Champion at WWE MSG, in a move that came out of nowhere. And this could only mean one thing...that there are big plans for him in the works.

Not long ago, it was teased that Andrade and Zelina Vega may break up very soon indeed and if Andrade lets this go to his head, leading to him dumping Vega, it opens up interesting possibilities. Maybe the idea is for him to pair up with his real-life partner- Charlotte Flair, on screen.

It would allow for Vega to pair up with Aleister Black or even possibly enter the women's division as a competitor. In due time, without a heel manager by his side, Andrade could even go babyface.

But this was certainly the route WWE was taking before Andrade won the title and I fully expect them to continue down this road this week.

#2 Aleister Black challenges Andrade

One assumes that Andrade was only made the United States Champion because he can, in turn, elevate a whole bunch of babyfaces, working as the heel. He can maybe work with Ricochet in what would be a great match because their styles mesh so very well. But the money match would be with Aleister Black for sure.

It's even more interesting because Zelina Vega is the real-life partner of Black. This will be a program (if it happens), where each of the individuals involved can certainly push themselves to the next level of fame and popularity. Maybe if Andrade ends up getting in Vega's face, as the storyline seems to indicate, Black can step in as her knight in shining armor.

But he could also potentially take on Humberto Carillo or Rusev. There are a whole bunch of babyface opponents for the United States Champion.

#1 Owens teams up with Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio

It's happened at WWE Live Events already, folks. Samoa Joe is a babyface after what happened on RAW last week and it is all too likely that he and Kevin Owens will be teaming up to take on the tyrannical heel faction with Seth Rollins and The AoP.

And from the looks of it, Rey Mysterio could have dropped the title so that he joins this particular feud. With all due respect to the United States Championship and its legacy and the tradition associated with it, this feud may be significantly bigger than any feud for the title at this moment, at least.

Whether it's the Justice League or The Avengers, everyone loves a league of babyface superheroes. And we could certainly see it happen on this week's episode of RAW.

In conclusion, may each and every one of our readers have a fantastic 2020!
