The second last episode of Monday Night RAW before the Royal Rumble was eventful. This week’s show was good as many unexpected things happened.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

Vince McMahon kicked off this RAW, and then Strowman (while chasing Corbin) ripped off McMahon’s car door. This resulted in him getting pulled from the Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

A Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship also happened between Bobby Lashley, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins.

Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks also faced Nia Jax and Tamina. After the match, both Rousey and Banks got into a war of words and it seems like something is on its way. Nikki Cross also debuted on Monday Night Raw.

Other than that, Finn Balor also won the No. 1 contender match for the Universal Championship and now will face Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. And the most important thing is that the Women's Tag Team titles will be defended at the Elimination Chamber!

A lot happened on this episode, and as we are heading to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the WWE gave us some hints on what could happen next week.

Here are five things that we uncovered from Monday Night Raw (14 January 2019).

#5 Sasha Banks is going to turn heel

Could we see this happen?
Could we see this happen?

Sasha Banks and Ronda Rousey teamed up last night to face the team of Nia Jax and Tamina. The match didn’t last long, and Banks easily got the victory by making Tamina tap out.

After the match, both superstars got interviewed, and Rousey said that her victory over Banks at Royal Rumble would be her most significant accomplishment in the company.

Then both superstars vow to defeat each other and then Rousey calls her the Classiest Loser which offended Banks and then she leaves the ring to go backstage.

Rousey apologies to her but she didn’t listen to her, and at backstage, Natalya and Bailey try to calm both superstars.

Now, this is very similar to what often happens when two face wrestlers face each other. WWE often create misunderstanding between two wrestlers only to make one a heel.

This time it could be Sasha Banks who will turn against Ronda Rousey. As we all know Rousey is the biggest women superstar on Raw at this point, and it’s highly unlikely that the WWE will make her a heel.

There’s still an episode of Raw left before the Royal Rumble, and maybe Banks will turn heel against Rousey in this episode.

#4 Bayley and Sasha Banks could become the first ever Women Tag Team Champion

The titles are finally here
The titles are finally here

During the second episode of the Moment of Bliss talk show, The Goddess welcomed the advocate of the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

However, before that, she revealed that three teams from both RAW and SmackDown would face each other for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The company hasn’t informed about the teams yet but will do so in a few weeks.

However, a tag team from RAW could win the title first. As there were rumors that Sasha Banks and Bayley were supposed to become the inaugural Women Tag Team Champions.

They both have been working together from a very long time, but the fans are not liking their team because there was no tag team championship at the moment.

But, last year Vince McMahon announced that the titles are coming this year and now, the time has come.

Bliss gave us a first look of the title, and it seems like the company is going to focus on women’s wrestling, a lot more this year.

#3 Bobby Lashley’s victory is just a beginning

Is this a fresh start for Bobby Lashley
Is this a fresh start for Bobby Lashley

Last week on RAW, Lashley, and Rollins had gotten into a brawl that started before the show goes on air. Then at the end, during Ambrose vs. Rollins, Lashley interrupted and cost Rollins the match.

Later, the WWE announced a Triple Threat match between these three superstars. This match was really good, and the fans liked it.

Many near falls happened, but at the end, Lashley won the title by pinning Dean Ambrose. Now he has become the new Intercontinental Champion, and it is his first title victory in over 11 years and seven months!

After returning to the company, last year, Lashley didn’t do anything significant that could make him a top Superstar.

The company put him in many meaningless storylines and feuds but now, he has won the Intercontinental Title.

We can say that it’s just a beginning for something big for him. We could also expect him to defeat many big superstars in the company and who knows, maybe the company will finally do a Lashley vs. Lesnar match.

But, before that, Lashley has to do something big as the Intercontinental Champion.

#2 Drew McIntyre is a future star who will defeat John Cena at Wrestlemania 35

Could we see this match at Mania?
Could we see this match at Mania?

Earlier this show, Heyman also said that he thinks Drew McIntyre will become the Universal Champion in future but not anytime soon. Now it’s a no surprise to the WWE Universe as McIntyre is set to receive a big push in future.

During the Fatal 4-way match on Raw against Cena, Balor, and Corbin, McIntyre dominated over everybody. He performed well and proved to everyone that he deserves a title shot.

However, he didn’t get the victory but was very close to winning the match. But, I think the WWE has revealed one more thing with this match.

McIntyre has already done a lot of big things in the company, and it seems like the company is planning to do a match between John Cena and him.

McIntyre has already interrupted Cena on several occasions, and it only indicated one thing that he will be facing the 16-time WWE Champion at Wrestlemania 35.

If this is true then is almost confirmed that Cena will pass the torch to Drew McIntyre

#1 Vince McMahon has started believing in Finn Balor

He has proved everybody wrong
He has proved everybody wrong

This week on Monday Night RAW, McMahon admitted that he doesn’t think Balor has the potential to defeat Brock Lesnar. However, he still gave him a chance to be in the Universal Championship picture.

Backstage, Jinder Mahal asked Vince to put him in the Universal Championship match, and then McMahon told him to defeat any of the Superstars that are in the fatal four-way match so that he could replace that participant. Mahal agreed and then chose Finn Balor.

This match happened, and Balor defeated him. Now, at the main event of the show, Balor proved everybody who didn’t believe in him and won the match by pinning John Cena.

Fans were happy to see this as Balor will now face The Beast at the Royal Rumble match. Cena then congratulated Balor and said that he has one more person who believes in him.

Even though he said this in the script, I think that McMahon has started believing in Finn Balor.

From the past few weeks, he is giving great matches and now has earned a title shot against Brock Lesnar. It looks like that things are only going to get biggest for the former Universal Champion of the WWE.

Bayley gives us a HUGE update on a top Superstar's upcoming return RIGHT HERE.
