A lot of big names like Ronda Rousey, CM Punk and Edge could return at Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble PPV has seen many unexpected returns throughout the years, and that's one of the reasons why it is one of WWE's most anticipated events of the year. They say anything can happen in a WWE ring, so there's a chance we could see another major return or several major returns at the upcoming event.

The three biggest Superstars who are highly expected to return are "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, CM Punk and the Rated-R Superstar Edge. Rousey made her official WWE debut at the Royal Rumble in 2018, and there's a chance she could make her return to the company in this year's event.

She could be an entrant in the Women's Rumble Match or perhaps she could confront Becky Lynch after the latter's RAW Women's Championship Match with Asuka. According to reports, the former UFC Champion will return to WWE, and it could happen very soon.

CM Punk is another name going around that could make a surprise return at the Royal Rumble. If he does return at the event, the roof will be blown off the place as fans have been clamoring to see the Voice of the Voiceless back in WWE for a long, long time.

When Punk was asked by Renee Young on WWE Backstage if he would return in a WWE ring, he responded by stating:

"I've experienced life where I know to not say no. But that’s going to be a bridge that is going to have to be built."

Finally, we have Edge, who was forced to retire due to neck injury back in 2011. The Rated-R Superstar is also rumored to make a return at the Royal Rumble where he would be an entrant in the Men's Rumble Match.

According to PWInsider, the former WWE world champion signed a new contract with WWE, so there's a chance he could make an appearance at the Rumble.

Since this is the Royal Rumble PPV after all, don't just expect these three to show up at the event. We could see many more returns as well!
