5 WWE legends who can return for one more match

Which WWE legend do you want to see in the ring again?
Which WWE legend do you want to see in the ring again?

Recently, a WWE rumor claimed that former world champion, John Cena, is going to appear at WrestleMania. He is going to fight at the show, but his opponent is not confirmed yet. With many other wrestlers asking for release and Superstars like John Cena appearing once in a while, WWE may want to bring back some legends to the business.

Even though we don't know which veteran Superstar is going to return to the company, it is certain that the WWE will try to make the best use out of them. After considering rumors and many other things, I have managed to make a list of five WWE legends who could return for another match soon. And as always, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

#5 The Rock

Could The Rock spend some time in the ring?
Could The Rock spend some time in the ring?

At one point The Rock was favorite to win the 2019 men's Royal Rumble match. The rumor stated that The Rock will win the Battle Royale to challenge his cousin, Roman Reigns, at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. However, in October last year, Reigns got diagnosed with leukemia which shattered all hopes for this dream match.

But now that the former champion is back to action, it wouldn't be shocking if The Rock returns and challenges him. Roman Reigns' WrestleMania 35 opponent isn't officially announced yet, but it is more than likely that Drew McIntyre is going to face him at the Show of Shows. McIntyre has already challenged him for a match, and it seems like the former is going to get it as well.

Once this match ends, you could expect the Brahma Bull to return to the WWE for another match. The Rock's last match happened at WrestleMania 32 where he defeated Erick Rowan in mere 6 seconds. However, if he is going to face Roman Reigns at next year's WrestleMania, then expect this match to be longer than 15 minutes.

#4 Shawn Michaels

When The Undertaker retired Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 28, the fans broke into tears. I wouldn't be wrong to say that it was a perfect retirement match for Michaels.

However, when he returned to the ring last year, it severely damaged his legacy. Even though fans were happy to see him again in the ring, the match made Michaels' retirement meaningless. Some fans will agree that he should have stayed retired as there was no need for him to return to the ring again.

But now that he has returned to the ring again, after many years of retirement, expect him to appear on more shows. As I said, many superstars are asking for their releases, so it wouldn't be shocking if the WWE offers tons of money to Michaels for another match. Even though he can't fight like his old days, the fans still like and want to see him wrestling.

#3 Goldberg

Former Universal Champion, Goldberg, returned to the WWE after 16 years of a long break, in 2016. He then went on to defeat Brock Lesnar in a squash match which genuinely shocked the world. Nobody expected him to beat Lesnar this soon especially after considering how much money WWE has already invested in him.

Goldberg then defeated Kevin Owens at WWE Fastlane 2017 for the Universal Championship where once again he got a squash victory. Lesnar then challenged him for the title at WrestleMania 33, and as expected he defeated the WCW Megastar.

On Raw after WrestleMania, Goldberg announced his retirement from wrestling, but it is expected that he could return to the ring once again. When Goldberg fought his last match, he was in good shape and probably, in the best of his career. The former Universal Champion can still provide great matches if WWE booked correctly. And everyone would like to see him fighting in WWE as long as he isn't going to win any titles.

#2 The Undertaker

The Undertaker is going to fight at the Saudi Arabia show, according to a rumor

Since losing to Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WWE Crown Jewel, The Undertaker hasn't returned to the WWE. WrestleMania is just 2 weeks away, and it is still unbelievable that The Phenom isn't booked for the show. Last year, he returned directly at the Shows of Shows to accept John Cena's challenge, but nothing like that is going to happen this time.

Nobody has challenged him for a match, and it seems like he is going to miss the show. However, according to a rumor, The Undertaker is going to appear at the show, but it isn't confirmed whether he will fight or not.

Many fans want him to retire peacefully, but it seems like Vince McMahon wants to use him for more shows. A rumor also claimed that The Undertaker is going to wrestle at the Saudi Arabia show this year. But who will face The Deadman?

Well, we don't know about that at the moment but if you want to know my thoughts on Undertaker's next match, then move on to the next page.

#1 Sting

Sting wants to face The Undertaker
Sting wants to face The Undertaker

Recently, WCW legend Sting revealed that he is still open for another match but only if it's going to happen against The Undertaker. The fans wanted to see this match when Sting debuted in WWE in 2014.

However, the company booked him against The Authority, and then he faced Triple H at WrestleMania. Many fans expected him to win his debut match, but it didn't happen, and Sting lost. He then faced Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship and as expected didn't win the title. He then suffered a severe injury which ended his career.

However, hopes have not died yet. The former WCW Champion wants to face The Undertaker in a match which seems pretty unlikely to happen at this moment. But don't let that deceive you from the fact that doing the unpredictable is the best thing about WWE. You never know what they have in store for us in the near future. Sting wants this match, the WWE Universe wants this match, then why not?

Maybe The Undertaker is also interested in facing Sting in a match, and if I'm right, they could face each other this year, most probably at the Saudi Arabia show.
