Sami Zayn has commented on a shocking heel turn at the conclusion of this past Monday's edition of WWE RAW.

The Judgment Day once again defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in the main event of this past Monday's episode of the red brand. Drew McIntyre interfered in the match and helped Damian Priest and Finn Balor retain the titles.

After the match, Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley and Drew McIntyre shook hands on the entrance ramp to close the show.

Speaking on WWE's The Bump, Sami Zayn said he can understand where Drew McIntyre is coming from after coming up short in multiple title matches. The 39-year-old noted that the losses can mess with a superstar mentally if they are not careful.

"Well look, to an extent I can understand where he [Drew McIntyre] is coming from. I mean, if anybody can relate it is me because I had a very similar experience going into a title fight with Roman Reigns with all of the momentum in the world. It seemed like a lock, you know? It is very hard to come that close to winning a championship, and then have it slip through your fingers. And if you are not careful, it could really play with your head," said Sami Zayn. WWE RAW star Sami Zayn on the differences between himself and Drew McIntyre

Sami Zayn believes he has had similar experiences to Drew McIntyre and that the RAW star will eventually explain his actions.

During his appearance on The Bump, Sami Zayn noted that he has had similar experiences as McIntyre, but at least he got to the main event of WWE WrestleMania.

"I think that is kind of the difference between Drew McIntyre and myself. I think we both experienced something kind of similar and just had different ways of dealing with it. It was a little different for me because I still got to win the Tag Team Championships with Kevin Owens. I still got to main event WrestleMania. I still kind of got to watch The Bloodline fall to a certain extent, and I was kind of happy to see Jey [Uso] come out on the other side," he said. [From 49:32 - 50:01]

Sami Zayn then claimed that the former WWE Champion could blame Jey Uso for what had transpired on RAW.

"I think for Drew, we went through something similar but maybe the fallout of everything that has happened to him has led to this decision. And obviously, he's had a hard time letting go of everything that happened. I think he just blames Jey, which again to an extent I can understand, because I've been in his shoes. I can't speak for him, I'm sure he is going to explain it himself," he added. [From 50:02 - 50:32]

McIntyre's heel turn could be exactly what the veteran needs to get back on track. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for McIntyre and The Judgment Day as the build toward Survivor Series continues.
