Welcome to yet another edition of the WWE Rumor Roundup where we focus on the top stories in the WWE. Having gone through all the big news reports and rumors of the day, we have tried our best to bring you just the best.

Without further ado, here are the top reports of the day:

Big WrestleMania 37 match revealed

WrestleMania 37 is more than eight months away but the WWE is already planning for the big event next summer. Dave Meltzer revealed on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Edge versus Randy Orton will be one of the matches at the pay-per-view.

The two faced off at WrestleMania 36 as well, with Edge coming out victorious in the Last Man Standing match. Now, at WrestleMania 37, the Rated R Superstar and the Viper are reportedly set to face off in an I Quit match.

Despite the report, Meltzer added that this is just WWE's plan right now and could change in the future. He made it clear that things change hundreds of times before WrestleMania, owing to different factors.

Edge is right now nursing his torn tricep injury and is still in recovery. Usually, such injuries take up to eight months of recovery and he could be back to WWE just in time for WrestleMania. In a recent interview, Edge opened up about the injury and said:

"I don't know, it was a month yesterday. It's so hard to tell in that initial kind of two months where it's at and where everything is. I've always been happy with the fact that I rebound from injuries pretty quickly. I got back from a torn Achilles in six months which is kind of stupid."
"Back to the point of how long? I don't know I'm just going to listen to my body and truly listen to my body, make sure I have self care, which I never really paid attention to before. Whether that entails yoga, cold plunges, saunas, whatever that is, I just need to do more of it, especially being 46 now."

Vince was 'smart' to fire him from key WWE position says AJ Styles

WWE Superstar AJ Styles has been vocal about his dislike of Paul Heyman lately and he took a shot at him again. Yet again on his stream, Styles spoke about Heyman and claimed that WWE head Vince McMahon was smart to fire him from his post on Monday Night RAW.

"The reason Vince is smart is he can see all his (Heyman's) crap. Vince saw what everybody already knew. He was like, 'you know what man, you've done some great things in the past but you're not well-liked here. Please hit the bricks."
"He (Heyman) has to blame himself because he has slighted a lot of people. This is the business that he has found a way to be successful in. Anyway, it was a lot of trash."

AJ Styles added that it is not just he who hates Heyman. He claims that there are several WWE Superstars who do not like the former RAW Executive Director and has admitted it directly to him. He said:

"I talked to a lot of guys about this situation. You wouldn't believe the amount of guys who despise this guy because of his lies. Whenever he screwed up, he'd try to put them under the bus. I have heard this from so many different people. It is hard to find someone who actually likes him. And I didn't know this because I assumed that everyone likes him. I thought only I hated him." AJ Styles takes shot at CM Punk as well

Paul Heyman was not the only one AJ Styles took a shot at recently. The WWE Intercontinental Champion also took a dig at CM Punk and yet again said that he was not worth his time.

"I'm all about business and some people I don't think are capable of doing good business. It's that simple. He's not worth my time. This guy (CM Punk) just likes to get attention, even if it's bad." (H/T Fightful)

This is not the first time they have had a go at each other. Recently, Punk was asked by a fan about AJ Styles' silence over the Black Lives Matter protests and George Floyd's death. The former WWE Champion said: "Well come on. That one has been obvious for years.”

AJ Styles responded to it and made it clear that he doesn't respect Punk and that what he says doesn't matter. He said:

"I will not react at all coming from a guy like that I don't respect anyway. It doesn't really matter. Look, my job as a performer is to perform and get the mind off all the things that have happened throughout the world. I am not going to react to people saying ridiculous and stupid things."

Change in WWE's SummerSlam plans again?

Drew McIntyre Wants to Face Randy Orton at SummerSlam | WrestlingWorld

WWE's plans keep changing and Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that a SummerSlam match could be changed again. They report that the pay-per-view was supposed to have Randy Orton face Drew McIntyre but now that may have been switched.

McIntyre is set to face Dolph Ziggler again next week for the WWE Championship but the show was initially supposed to be the first step towards Orton versus McIntyre. While a buildup is still possible things might be changing backstage.

''The 7/20 show originally was going to focus on an angle to set up McIntyre vs. Orton for the SummerSlam WWE title match. But the decision was changed to instead push for McIntyre vs. Ziggler in a rematch on 7/27. I would presume when that match is over they’ll start McIntyre vs. Orton next week.''

The reports last month suggested that Brock Lesnar was supposed to be back for SummerSlam and challenge Drew McIntyre but that was scrapped as the show is taking place in the Performance Center once again and WWE do not want to use Lesnar without a crowd.

Shinsuke Nakamura on his future plans

Nakamura and Cesaro
Nakamura and Cesaro

Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Extreme Rules. Nakamura was on WWE's The Bump recently and spoke about the plans for the future for the new champions.

He claimed that they are looking for new opponents right now and anyone would do. The former WWE United States champion added that there are a lot of rules within tag team wrestling and he is still getting used to it.

"Tag team wrestling is about instinct. It's more like a game. I need to use Cesaro, and Cesaro needs to use me. Also, you have to think about your opponents. But one thing about the WWE tag team division is that it has a lot of rules." (H/t: Wrestlinginc)

Talking about how different it is holding a title with Cesaro in WWE compared to Hiroshi Tanahashi in NPJW, Nakamura said:

"Cesaro is much better than Tanahashi. Tanahashi was always, 'Me, me, me. Stay there Shin, stay there Shin. I go, I go.' Cesaro is like, 'You go,' and I say to him, 'No please, you go.'"
