Zeb Colter confronts Alberto Del Rio in the opening segment of Main Event

WWE opened with Alberto Del Rio coming down to the ring and cutting a promo where he proudly spoke out his Mexican heritage. But he was interrupted by Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter who countered his words with words of criticism. Then Del Rio challenged Swagger to a singles match on the night to which the Real Americans accepted.

Here are the results from the show.

Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil vs Goldust and Stardust

Heath Slater came out and bragged about his victory against Seth Rollins on last Monday Night Raw. The tag-team action began and it was a quick match that ended with Goldust getting pinned for the three-count after O’Neil delivered a big boot to his face, giving Slater the chance to follow up with a pinfall. Slater was in a jubilant mood as he celebrated his win but O’Neil was reluctant to join his partner.

Winner: Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil

AJ Lee vs Paige

AJ Lee vs Summer Rae

WWE Divas champion AJ Lee looked to be in discomfort with her injury in the opening stages during her singles bout with Summer Rae. But she locked in the Black Widow submission hold on Summer and forced her to tap out. After the match, AJ talked about a fairytale where Paige came in like a witch and stole what belonged to her and that she was her own white knight. Paige came out and said that they are still best friends and at SummerSlam she will taking back the title.

Winner: AJ Lee

Jack Swagger vs Alberto Del Rio

With Jack Swagger's Flag Match with Rusev at SummerSlam on the horizon, The Real American went to war with Alberto Del Rio in the Mexican border town of Laredo, Texas. In a fiercely passionate fight, Del Rio targeted Swagger's injured ribs throughout the match. But Swagger dug deep to withstand Del Rio's assault — including escaping a Cross Armbreaker — to lock him in The Patriot Lock to make The Mexican Aristocrat submit.

Winner: Jack Swagger
