WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 13 June, 2016

Needs something big

Last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw was, let’s say uneventful. The show was stacked with good matches which were entertaining while they lasted, the show failed to perform the task of contributing to the overall picture heading to Money in the Bank. This week, we are going to have the last Raw before the pay-per-view and there is still some heavy work to be done by WWE.

The already booked matches need to be pushed hard and some matches need to be added to the show and in short, it is going to be a busy edition of Monday Night Raw this week. And here is the complete preview of the show.

More permutations

Six or seven?

Booking six upper-midcarders for the Money in the Bank match was a good decision from WWE. While all of them are involved in this storyline, WWE has the capability of trying out permutations between them. Last week’s Raw had just that, when the six superstars faced off against each other in singles matches.

Initially, WWE advertised a seven man battle for the Money in the Bank briefcase, and it is rumored that Randy Orton or Bray Wyatt could get the last spot. It is to be seen whether WWE will stick with these six, or will they go ahead and add that bold seventh member into the match and make it more interesting.

Chase for US Title heats up

Can Rusev get the upper hand

Titus O’Neil vs.Rusev for the United States Championship is now official for Money in the Bank and despite the cold reactions; WWE has given some time into booking this feud. Of course, it is built up around the usual run-ins and chase-offs but at least that is happening for Titus and Rusev.

The fans have been rallying behind Titus for quite some time now, but these same fans are somehow refusing to give him the reaction that they told he deserved. The homecoming segment of this feud could turn into a talking point on Raw, so watch out for Titus O’Neil and Rusev when WWE comes live with Monday Night Raw.

Chaotic Tag Team Division

Target painted on their back

Thanks to some timely appearance from Teddy Long, we have a four-way tag team match at Money in the Bank. All four tag teams involved in the bout has been crossing paths every now and then making things a bit chaotic at the moment. Apart from this, The Club and New Day are getting involved heavily into the Cena vs. AJ Styles feud which is also working in favor of this eventual tag team title match.

Vaudevillains are being projected like the underdogs among the whole situation and it is something WWE should look into when they book Raw this week.

Guys like you and guys like me

The anti-hero

If anything was worth taking away from last week’s show, it was the face-off between AJ Styles and John Cena. Cena delivered a passionate promo which was then canceled out thanks to some excellent work by AJ Styles, who dropped the ‘John Cena buries guys like me’ dialogue. This shows the attempt of WWE to build up AJ Styles as the representative of the Internet fan base, which is the same tactic that they pulled off with CM Punk.

The rebel nature of The Club does add on to this and with only one stop at their disposal, something big could happen on Raw this week.

Something big needs to happen

Cold feud

While the John Cena vs. AJ Styles feud is stealing the show, despite the initial momentum, the Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns feud is falling flat. WWE has failed so far in capitalizing the return of Rollins and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the fans start losing their interest in the feud.

So far, WWE has not given this storyline the importance that it deserves and unless they do something big this week on Raw, it is going to hurt the overall outcome at Money in the Bank. Going back, WWE really wasted the opportunity to bring back Seth as a face and they might be cursing their decision after seeing how cold this storyline is going on.
