Don't we all hate slow news days? Well, the day that went by was certainly one of them.

Even the slowest of news days, however, have a few bright spots and we've unearthed a few noteworthy stories that make today's edition of the Rumor Roundup.

Today's lineup has a marriage, a return from injury, a veteran not being allowed to wrestle and a ridiculous stipulation of an upcoming match.

There were updates about the Survivor Series and Royal Rumble PPVs of the future.

Here is the latest edition of our daily WWE Rumor Roundup:

#5. Jerry Lawler on being on the 'no-touch' list, not being allowed to wrestle and more

Jerry 'The King' Lawler is 70 years old and he continues to wrestle outside the WWE. It's complete bonkers when you think about it!

As unsurprising as it may sound, Lawler will not be allowed to wrestle inside a WWE ring. The company has also put him on a 'no-touch' list.

The WWE Hall of Famer opened up about his in-ring status in the WWE on The Jerry Lawler Show and explained why he's not been involved in any sort of physical altercation on WWE TV.

The Authors of Pain recently attacked the temporary RAW color commentator Samoa Joe and Lawler was seen walking away as Rezar and Akam approached the announcers' table.

Lawler revealed that the doctors feel he is a liability to the company and have disallowed him from taking a bump inside the ring. He also admitted that there is a huge risk of a PR disaster with him wrestling again.

“Still, to this day, the people in WWE still feel like that’s not the case [Lawler being cleared to wrestle]. They keep me on the no-touch list and all of that kind of thing. We’ve talked about this before on the podcast. The doctors told Lauren, ‘We can’t clear him to go back in the ring because he’s a liability to the company.’”
“If they grant my request and they say, ‘Okay, we’ll let you decide what you think is best,’ and they let me go out there and wrestle again, and then something did happen again, it would be a PR disaster for the company.” H/t Credit: Danny Hart of Sportskeeda

#4. Luke Gallows gets married

As highlighted first by WrestlingInc, 2-time RAW Tag Team Champion Luke Gallows tied the knot with his girlfriend Bethany Nobliski on Sunday, December 22nd, before the Christmas holidays.

Gallows and Nobliski have dated each other for a long time and got engaged in November earlier this year. It's interesting to note that Bethany changed her last name to Hankinson, which pretty much confirms the marriage.

Luke Gallows' real name is Andrew Hankinson and he hails from Georgia, which is also where Bethany resides.

The O.C. member has not publically confirmed his marriage, however, all signs confirm the news.

Bethany's Facebook profile says that she got married on December 22nd. She also put up a photo and stated that her father accompanied her down the aisle on the aforementioned date.

A photo of the newly-wed couple was also revealed, which has been given below.

#3. Dash Wilder injury update

The news coming out of the December 26th live event in Cincinnati was that Dash Wilder had suffered an injury and he was replaced by Curtis Axel in a tag team match.

Axel stepped in for Wilder and teamed up with Scott Dawson in a Triple Threat tag team contest against The New Day and Lucha House Party.

In a positive update, Wilder returned to action in a dark match before the latest episode of SmackDown.

The Revival took on Gran Metalik and Kalisto and won the match with the Shatter Machine.

It was revealed that Wilder looked fine and was showing no apparent signs of an injury. The Revival has been in the news recently as it was reported that the WWE intends on turning them into comedy characters.

The former Tag Team Champions are nearing the end of their current contract and WWE would be hoping that they re-sign.

The company would not want to lose the top guys to AEW and we should expect them to get some decent TV time going forward.

#2. Possible locations of Survivor Series 2020 and Royal Rumble 2021

As revealed by WrestleVotes, Dallas is the front-runner to host Survivor Series next year. It was also revealed that the Royal Rumble PPV of 2021 is expected to happen at Seattle, Washington.

The last Survivor Series PPV happened at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois while the Royal Rumble 2020 show will be live from the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas on January 26th.

Regarding the location of WrestleMania 37, it was revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the brand new LA Stadium in Los Angeles could host the 37th edition of the mega show in 2021.

Despite stiff competition from Las Vegas, the Los Angeles area has been a firm favourite to host WrestleMania 37. LA city officials are keen to host WrestleMania 37 in 2021 as the city will also be hosting the Super Bowl in 2022. The idea is to get a feel of hosting a big event which would ensure that all the potential loopholes are fixed by the time the Super Bowl comes by.

#1. Ridiculous stipulation for future Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin match revealed, The Big Dog's future

Just when you thought that the WWE creative had curbed their cringeworthy-ness, they've come up with another bewildering decision.

WWE has advertised two matches between Roman Reigns and King Corbin for the February 7th and 14th episodes of SmackDown and the stipulation for both matches are that the loser will eat dog food.

WWE is unrelenting with the dog food angle!

The February 7th episode of SmackDown will take place at the SAP Center in San Jose while the following episode will happen at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

Both matches are expected to be dark bouts exclusively for the fans in attendance.

As we've noted before, Roman Reigns is the favourite to win the Royal Rumble. The current plan is to have him win the Rumble before he goes on to face The Fiend for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36.

As revealed by WrestlingNews.co, the company reportedly wants to make Reigns the top face of the company again in 2020 and the King Corbin feud is just being viewed as a placeholder before he is pushed back into the title picture.
