WWE SmackDown Results: Former champ stops Money in the Bank cash-in; 14-time World Champ returns to confront John Cena (6/13/25)

John Cena kicked off WWE SmackDown and said that wrestling's Mt. Rushmore was just himself, but four times over. He added that there have been other great wrestlers, but they were all beneath him.

Cena said that he announced his retirement early so he could find the best opponents, such as Cody Rhodes and CM Punk.

Cena took credit for putting R-Truth in the main event of Money in the Bank and said that he manipulated CM Punk into challenging him. He called Punk a hypocrite and added that Seth Rollins would never cash in on him because once Cena leaves, Rollins can be the sole champion in the company.

John had done the math, and it showed that there was no one who could beat him. Cody Rhodes made his entrance and called him John Rushmore before Randy Orton made his return after Backlash and joined them in the ring.

The 14-time world champion said that he would do whatever it takes to win the WWE title, join the King of the Ring tournament, or even go through Cody if need be.

LA Knight showed up next and said that he was looking to win the WWE Championship as well, before Cena had had enough and walked out.

As the champ was on his way out, Ron Killings attacked him from behind and beat him down on the ramp. Officials ran in to separate the two before we headed for a break on SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown Results: Randy Orton vs. Aleister Black vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. LA Knight - King of the Ring Tournament: First Round match

Randy was dominating early on in the match and blocked a BFT before Knight blocked the Black Mass. Black got a superkick on Melo before tossing Orton into the ring post outside.

Back in the ring, Knight missed another BFT before interrupting a double draping DDT by hitting a neckbreaker on Randy.

LA Knight headed up top, but Bronson Reed got on the apron and dragged him down, dropping him on the top rope. Bron Breakker came in and took LA Knight out with a spear before Carmelo went for the 450 Splash.

Randy intercepted the splash with an RKO on top of Knight before pinning the latter star for the win.

Jacob Fatu was next on SmackDown and stated that he turned on Solo at Money in the Bank, as even though he was family, it didn't give Solo the right to treat Fatu poorly. Solo Sikoa showed up on the Titantron and reminded Jacob that all the success he has now was thanks to him.

Sikoa said that he would be in the ring next week and wanted Jacob to pledge his loyalty. Solo then threatened to end Fatu's career if he refused to do so.

Backstage on SmackDown, Chelsea Green called Nick Aldis to ask him to postpone her Queen of the Ring tournament Match. Nick instead replaced her with Alba Fyre.

WWE SmackDown Results: Nia Jax vs. Jade Cargill vs. Michin vs. Piper Niven - Queen of the Ring Tournament: First Round match

Jade got some big moves early on before Niven and Nia teamed up against her. Nia dragged Jade outside, and they delivered a double team beatdown before Michin broke it up with a moonsault.

Michin was taking a beating from the duo next, and Nia hit the Boss Man Slam before Jade returned to the ring.

Cargill took the hip attack and Cannonball from Nia and Niven before Jax broke up the pin from Piper. They finally turned on each other, and Michin used the distraction to get a near-fall off a tornado DDT. Jade was sent over the announce desk, and Michin took a double chokeslam in the ring before Niven broke up the pin from Nia off the Annihilator.

Niven sent Nia into the ringpost and through the barricades before getting the Piper Bomb on Michin in the ring. Jade came back and hit Jaded on Niven before getting the win on SmackDown.

Result: Jade Cargill def. Piper Niven, Michin & Nia Jax

Naomi showed up next on SmackDown and said that Tiffany Stratton got in the way of her title match against Nia Jax, and now she wants revenge.

Stratton walked out and asked Naomi to cash in right then and there before mocking her for not doing it. Naomi said that she wasn't stupid and would wait for the perfect moment, all while making her life hell, before walking out.

Nia Jax attacked Stratton from behind, and the champ took her down with a dropkick. A distraction from Naomi allowed Jax to hit the Annihilator in the corner. Naomi came back and was going to cash in on the champ, but the former Women's Champion stopped Naomi and threatened her into retreating before SmackDown moved on.

WWE SmackDown Results: Wyatt Sicks vs. Motor City Machine Guns

Sabin was isolated early on while Lumis and Gacy hot-tagged in and out and got some big double-team moves. Erick Rowan was at the ringside with a giant hammer, and MCMG managed to send Lumis and Gacy outside before hitting double dives to the floor.

Back in the ring, Lumis took the bulldog for a near fall from Sabin before Gacy got the assisted powerbomb to his partner on Chris. Shelley tagged in and tried for the Skull and Bones, but it was countered. Joe took Sabin out with a headbutt before Lumis got the top rope leg drop on Sabin for the win.

Result: Wyatt Sicks def. Motor City Machine Guns

Backstage, John Cena asked Jimmy Uso if he had seen Ron Killings. Cena then told Jimmy to tell Ron to meet him in the ring next.

John Cena was back out and told the crowd to shut it before saying that Ron Killings crossed a line. He challenged Truth to a match, but instead, CM Punk walked in on SmackDown.

Punk compared Cena to Darth Vader and said Anakin must be somewhere in there before telling him to retire with honor and not be a prick.

Cena said that the people didn't matter and it was all a waste of time, except for the WWE Championship. Punk said that he took it upon himself to save wrestling from John Cena, who wants to ruin it.

Punk added that it was ironic that Cena wanted to leave with the title since that's what the Best in the World did when he left the WWE.

Punk said that they were both legends, and he would beat Cena and take the title since he could see through the champion. As Punk was walking out, Ron Killings attacked the champ once more and locked him in the STF. Officials came in and separated the two before Cena ran off.

Backstage, Ron Killings asked Nick Aldis for a match against John Cena, and Aldis said he would make it official.

WWE SmackDown Results: Alexa Bliss vs. Candice LeRae vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Alba Fyre - Queen of the Ring Tournament: First Round match

Flair was in control early on and got some big hip tosses and chops before Alba sent her into the corner and teamed up with LeRae to get some double team moves.

Charlotte came back with an elbow and a clothesline before Bliss took her out with a diving crossbody, but her Sister Abigail was blocked.

Alexa took Natural Selection and was caught in the leglock before LeRae broke it up with a dive. Alexa came back with a DDT and hit Twisted Bliss on Alba before Charlotte sent Bliss outside with a big boot.

LeRae came back and took a spear before Alba came back with a superkick and missed the finisher. Alba was locked in the Figure Eight while Alexa hit Sister Abigail on LeRae for the win on SmackDown.

Result: Alexa Bliss def. Candice LeRae, Charlotte Flair & Alba Fyre

WWE SmackDown Results: Cody Rhodes vs. Andrade vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - Randy Orton vs. Aleister Black vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. LA Knight - King of the Ring Tournament: First Round match

Cody was in control early on but was sent outside before Andrade got some big moves on Nakamura. Back in the ring, Damian beat Cody down before Andrade tried to sneak in a rolling pin.

Rhodes and Priest teamed up for a double team move on Andrade, but Nakamura stopped them and dropped them outside, with Cody falling through the table that was set up below.

Outside the ring, Andrade got a big boot on Priest off an assist from Nakamura before they teamed up and sent Damian over the announce desk. They then sent Priest over the barricades before Nakamura turned on Andrade.

Back in the ring, Cody hit the Disaster Kick before Nakamura got the Kinshasa. Andrade broke up the pin and hit The Message on Damian before Cody botched the double inverted DDT. Cody got the Cross Rhodes on Andrade and then Nakamura before getting the win.

Result: Cody Rhodes def. Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade & Damian Priest

Grade: B+

Rhodes celebrated the win as SmackDown went off the air.
