Sneak attacks are so common in the WWE. They provide a sudden rush of excitement or instability. Sometimes it comes across as a relief against a monotonous situation and sometimes it just spoils a great moment. This past Monday, Goldust and Cody Rhodes did a sneak attack on those people who are known for their trademark sneak attacks- The Shield.

Matt Hardy Attacks Edge
One of the biggest storyline that came out in 2005 was based of WWE’s current fetish of introducing non –fictional details in the fictional set up of the WWE. Matt Hardy was fired because he revealed that he broke up with Lita because she cheated on him with Edge. That pushed up Lita and Edge’s heel turn and is very well the most memorable career moment for Edge and paved the way for him to become a marquee guy.
This art-imitates-life situation was uncharacteristic of the WWE then and that’s why this sneak attack received a huge ovation. “I’m going to ROH” says Hardy. Seems like CM Punk was not the first one to mention some other promotions name in the WWE.
Kevin Nash Attacks Punk
In what was a ridiculous way to carry on the Summer of Punk, CM Punk returned sooner than expected and we had 2 WWE champions and the Summerslam match between the two decided who was the undisputed WWE champion. Punk won and continued being the hottest star of that year but in one of the most shocking returns, Nash came through the crowd and power-bombed Punk.
The Shield debut
When this happened, not many in the arena knew who they were. But for the hardcore fans watching at home and some in the arena too, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had finally come to the main roster. Roman Reigns has also turned out to be a great revelation and The Shield are one 3 man tag team that we do not want to see break any time soon.
Edge spears Cena
No, it’s not the Money in the Bank cash in moment where Edge speared Cena. But the moment before another Money in the Bank winner, RVD, won the title. It is the moment when Cena faced the most hostile crowd in his career. Edge, speared Cena through a table to help RVD win the title. The moment starts at 29:57.
Wedding Crashers
Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth were one of the most adored couples in WWE and their wedding was a much awaited moment and the first of its kind. When they were celebrating it backstage, Miss Elizabeth went on to open some presents and that is when she found a snake in one of them. Immediately Savage was attacked by Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and the Undertaker.
