Dabi also contacts Skeptic, who takes it upon himself to advance Re-Destro’s plans. Skeptic hacks UA’s systems. At the Coffin in the Sky site, system errors are reported due to the hacking. My Hero Academia season 7 episode 12: AFO grows stronger with Eri's Rewind as Edgeshot attempts to save Bakugo

In My Hero Academia season 7 episode 12, the focus shifts to the Gunga Villa site where Endeavor, Hawks, and other heroes witness AFO making a return, now in his prime youthful state. A flashback reveals how AFO and Dr. Garaki used Shie Hassaikai's Quirk-erasing drug created using Eri's Rewind Quirk and enhanced it as a trump card to boost AFO's powers.

It also validated the Quirk Doomsday theory. Back in the present, AFO attacks the heroes, stealing a Quirk from one of them before Hawks intervenes. AFO explains that while his body will eventually deteriorate due to rewinding, his ambitions will be fulfilled through Shigaraki, his new vessel.

It shows how his thin threads, which are capable of stopping immense bleeding, allow him to treat Bakugo's internal injuries. He declares that he will become Bakugo's heart and entrusts Jeanist and Mirko with holding Shigaraki back until Deku arrives.

Mirko and Togata manage to corner Shigaraki, who reflects on his past and recalls the threat he felt from Bakugo. This memory prompts Shigaraki’s body to adapt, transforming into a more formidable form.
