The Beginning After the End episode 11: Arthur confronts Cynthia and reveals his plans of becoming an adventurer
Picking up the events from the previous installment, The Beginning After the End episode 11 begins with Arthur Leywin confronting Cynthia, the director of the Xyrus Academy — a prestigious school known for producing scholars, businessmen, royal guards, military officers, and more.
Cynthia, who has heard much about Arthur from Vincent, wants to test his skill. Meanwhile, Arthur senses extraordinary powers from the Xyrus academy director. He thinks it's no wonder she has the highest form of magic in the country. Arthur then decides to show Cynthia a fraction of his powers to prove that Vincent wasn't lying.
The Beginning After the End episode 11 shows Arthur starting the battle with wind magic. He manipulates the wind around his body to hurl a few rocks at Cynthia. However, the Xyrus academy director easily blocks them with a hand gesture. Arthur follows it up with another move set, but Cynthia's wind wall throws him off guard.

Meanwhile, Arthur's parents, especially his mother, Alice, are against such an idea. She doesn't want Arthur to go on dangerous journeys when he has just returned. Arthur promises Alice that he will occasionally return. At this, Alice finally begins to agree. Arthur Leywin also tells his parents that he wants to experience the thrill of being an adventurer, just like them.

Meanwhile, Lilia is seen training on her own, without having Arthur channel his mana to her. Likewise, Arthur feels his younger sister, Eleanor, will awaken her mana at seven or eight. He hopes that she shouldn't awaken it soon, or else she may attract unwanted attention.
Meanwhile, Arthur stops by the Auction House to get a new sword for the Adventurers' Guild's admission test. Although he looks around for a long time, he doesn't find a sword resonating with him. At this moment, in The Beginning After the End episode 11, Sylvie points at something.
Arthur finds a black scabbard with a sword inside it. After inspecting it a bit, he realizes that he has to channel his mana into the sword. The moment Arthur does that, the sword emerges from the scabbard with a hint of glow. Interestingly, the blade has a name written on it: Dawn's Ballad, W.K.IV. However, Arthur doesn't decipher what it says.

Apparently, the Helstea Auction house received the sword from an old man, who threw it and said it was incompatible with him. Yet, Arthur understands the sword's true value. Following this, The Beginning After the End episode 11 transitions to Alice, Reynolds, the Helstea family, and the Twin Horns celebrating Arthur's birthday — a day before his departure as an adventurer.
Arthur gets many valuable presents, including a pair of gloves from Alice, with jewels imbued with her healing spells. Likewise, Vincent gives Arthur and Alice a ring each. Apparently, Alice's ring will glow brightly when Arthur's mana depletes to a dangerous level. On the other hand, Arthur receives a special scroll from the Twin Horns. Arthur Leywin is overwhelmed to receive such gifts.
Finally, the day comes when Arthur has to leave for adventure. While the boy doesn't want to let go of his sense of security at home, he knows that he needs power to protect his loved ones. With this thought, Arthur embarks on a thrilling adventure with Jasmine Flamesworth by his side.
