Playing DMZ after Black Ops 6 integration can be a little complicated, especially if you haven't installed the mode. For those new to the COD franchise, DMZ is an extraction-shooter mode that joined the series with Warzone 2. It offered both a PvE and PvP experience before quickly becoming a fan favorite. However, Call of Duty decided to stop supporting it and it has been over a year since it's received any new content or updates.

Although the mode might be on life support, it is still playable even after Warzone's integration with Black Ops 6.

That said, if you don't have the mode installed or have it on your system but cannot find a way to play it after the new UI update, this guide explains how to play DMZ after Black Ops 6 integration.

Quick guide to playing DMZ after Black Ops 6 integration

Follow the steps below to play DMZ after Black Ops 6 integration:

  • Launch the Call of Duty HQ.
  • From the HQ, navigate to the All Games tab located at the top.
  • Find Modern Warfare 2 (2022) from the list of available games.
  • Select it and then scroll to the right end of this menu to find DMZ.
  • Click on Install and the download will start.
  • Once complete, head over to the All Games tab again.
  • Select Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and it'll give you the option to play.

Thereafter, you should be able to play DMZ. Do note, however, that the mode is not integrated with Black Ops 6, so you won't be able to use any weapons or drops on the Area 99 map. Also, don't expect new gameplay mechanics, such as Omnimovement or Supine Prone. It will play similarly to MW2 and have its limitations.

Regardless, it is still the same mode it used to be back in 2022 and despite it not receiving any support from COD, it's still going strong and boasts a healthy player base as of now. Thus, you shouldn't face problems finding games and even if you go solo, you'll hardly be at a disadvantage, as you can easily assimilate with randoms.
