Clifford Omoruyi is a center for the Alabama Crimson Tide, a team in the Southeastern Conference of NCAA Division I. He is a graduate student, as of March 2025. He stayed at the Rutgers program from 2021-24, where the Nigerian player became the first player to accumulate nine rebounds, eight blocks, and seven points in a Big Ten game since 2017. Throughout his career at Rutgers, he scored 1,251 points. In the 2024 season, he recorded 93 blocks and became the sixth player to record the most blocks from Rutgers in a single season. He also became the first Big Ten player to score this many blocks in a season since 2018.

Omoruyi’s career field goal percentage was recorded to .549 while he registered 933 rebounds and 221 blocks which ranked him as the fourth all-time in field goal percentage and blocks in the history of Rutgers. He also became the sixth all-time player to record this many blocks in the history of the program. Some of his career accolades include an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in 2022 and 2024. His name was enlisted in the Big Ten All-Defensive Team in 2024, First Team All-Big Ten Defensive Team, and Second Team All-Big Ten Media in 2023. He was also a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award finalist in 2023.
