JuJu Watkins, born on July 15, 2005, has been one of the standout collegiate basketball players since she joined the USC Trojans in 2023. She often uses her physical stature to overcome opposition defenders during games. JuJu started her basketball career at Windward School before transferring to Sierra Canyon School where she was ranked No.1 in her class by ESPN.

She recently won the USBWA National Freshman of the Year after averaging 26.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in her freshman season. JuJu is one of four finalists in line for two more prestigious awards, the Wade Trophy and the Naismith Trophy.

JuJu has always proved her mettle as the point guard of the team, as she is very reliable around the rim and can be an elite defender in certain situations. She led the United States to gold medals in the 2022 U17 FIBA World Cup and 2021 U16 FIBA Americas Championship and was named the MVP in both tournaments.
