Naas Cunningham is a forward for the Alabama Crimson Tide and plays as a freshman in the 2024-2025 season. Cunningham hails from West Orange, New Jersey, and attended Southern California Academy. He is 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He committed to the University of Alabama on November 07, 2023, and had received offers from numerous top programs such as West Virginia Mountaineers, Kentucky Wildcats, Missouri Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers, Seton Hall Pirates, Arkansas Razorbacks, Iowa Hawkeyes, Florida State Seminoles, Kansas Jayhawks, Georgia Bulldogs, Duke Blue Devils, LSU Tigers, UCLA Bruins, and many more.

Naas Cunningham began his high school basketball career at Southern California Academy. He was ranked as the No. 43 overall recruit by 247Sports, the No. 50 overall recruit by On3, and the No. 62 recruit overall by ESPN within the class of 2024. Cunningham was also known as the No. 15 small forward within his class. He competed for Rolling Loud in Overtime Elite and averaged 13.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. Prior to his remarkable performance at Overtime Elite, Cunningham participated in the NY Renaissance program in the Nike EYBL Circuit, registering 11.6 points per game as a junior. He was one of 16 candidates selected for the USA U16 National Team in 2021. In 2022, Cunningham was ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in ESPN's class of 2024 rankings.
