Bear Alexander was born on November 28, 2002, in Terrel, Texas, US. Alexander completed his high school at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Before graduating, Alexander played with teams like Skyline, Ryan, Terrel, and IMG Academy in high school.

During his run, he helped Denton Ryan High School win the Texas 5A Division I State Championship in 2020. He also played for the Skyline Raiders in his junior year, where he recorded seven tackles in three games.

In 2021, Alexander helped the IMG Academy set a record of 9-1 in his senior season. He was also selected for the 2022 Under Armour All-America Game.
