Christian Gray is an American college football player who is a cornerback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. Christian’s college football career began after he was enrolled with Notre Dame in January 2023. He was committed to the team in 2022 and chose to sign with Notre Dame over other programs including Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Florida Miami, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Ole Miss.

However, Christian’s football career commenced at his high school, De Smet High School's football team. Rated as a consensus four-star recruit by major sports outlets, he was also the top defensive prospect in Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class. He has also earned a 2022 first-team selection presented by the Missouri Football Coaches Association. In his senior year, he registered 29 tackles and three interceptions, with five catches for 124 yards and one touchdown. During his junior year, he posted 34 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

In 2023, in his sophomore year at Notre Dame, Christian recorded his college football debut against Navy in Dublin, Ireland. As a freshman in 2023, he appeared in 12 games and registered 11 tackles, and nine solos, with an interception and two pass breakups. Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, his 2023 stats record two assist tackles, nine solos, zero forced fumbles, one interception, and two passes defended. His 2023 campaign also witnessed his first career interception when he tipped the ball to himself while making a diving interception at Pittsburgh.
