Christian Gray is a collegiate football cornerback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, representing the University of Notre Dame in the FBS's Independent Conference. During his junior year at De Smet Jesuit High School, Gray recorded 34 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. After a stellar high school career, Gray joined the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2023 as part of their football program. In his freshman season, he made an immediate impact by participating in all 12 games.

Gray recorded a total of 11 tackles, with nine being solo efforts, and achieved his first collegiate interception along with two pass breakups. His debut came against Navy in Dublin, Ireland, marking a significant milestone in his young career. As of January 2025, Gray recorded 28 combined tackles, along with a forced fumble and two interceptions his sophomore year, as per ESPN.

During his high school career, he established himself as a standout player, earning recognition as a consensus four-star recruit by various scouting services, including 247 Sports, ESPN, On3, and Rivals. His impressive performance on the field culminated in being ranked among the top cornerbacks in the nation. Gray was the 10th cornerback and fifth-ranked player in Missouri according to Rivals.

In his senior year, Christian Gray recorded 29 tackles and three interceptions while also contributing on offense with five receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown. His versatility was further highlighted by his participation in track and field, where Gray achieved personal bests of 22.64 seconds in the 200 meters and 11.31 seconds in the 100 meters. Gray's athletic prowess earned him a first-team all-state selection from the Missouri Football Coaches Association in 2022.
