Eric Gentry is an American football linebacker currently playing for the USC Trojans, representing the University of Southern California in the sport of American football. After completing his high school education, Eric decided to commit to Arizona State, where he played for one season in 2021.

During his time at Arizona State, Eric made a significant impact on the team as a consensus Freshman All-American first-teamer, and as an outside linebacker. In the 2021 season, he contributed 45 tackles (ranking sixth on the team), including 5 tackles for loss totaling 18 yards (which included a 12-yard sack), as well as 2 deflections across 12 games.
