Nathu Singh, the son of a laborer was the talk of the nation when he was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for 3.2 crores. There was an increase of 32 times his base price of 10 lakh. He is also greatly remembered for taking 7 for 87 in his debut Ranji Trophy match against Delhi.

With Mumbai Indians, he did not get a single chance to showcase his skills and talent. Gujarat Lions were quick in acquiring the young prodigy for 50 lakhs. However, he got only 2 games with Gujarat Lions.

Out of the 2 games he played, he took 2 wickets at a very low economy of 3.75. Though he has ideal qualities required for a T20 bowler, he cannot decapitate the batsman of short balls or full tosses.

His weaknesses overshadow his strength of being economical. This was the main cause for him being unsold. He will look to improve as a bowler in the upcoming years.
