India v Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy Final
A huge bidding war can be expected if Mohammed Amir's name pops up in the auction room

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) & Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are at loggerheads for quite a few years because of the political tensions between two countries. Except for the inaugural season, Pakistan players were barred from IPL since then. Azhar Mahmood was the only exception since he holds a British passport. There are no doubts about the quality of Pakistan players.

Everyone can remember the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy Final in which Amir single-handedly destroyed India's batting order. Also one could not forget the 2016 Asia Cup T20 match between India and Pakistan when Amir almost won the match for Pakistan single-handedly.

Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan and many more talented players are waiting in the wings. The inclusion of Pakistan players will further increase the fan base and the tournament will get tougher than ever because of the intensity which the Pakistan players will usually bring in while playing.

With the 2018 Asia cup to be played in India, Pakistan's participation in the Asia cup will rest in the hands of the Indian government. If the government permits Pakistan, then it will be a huge stepping stone for the participation of Pakistan players in IPL.
