Tamim Iqbal is a stalwart in the Bangladeshi setup

Tamim Iqbal has been a run-scoring juggernaut for Bangladesh in international cricket. Whenever Bangladesh are playing a big tournament, Tamim Iqbal is always amongst the runs. Despite having all the attributes of a quality T20 batsman, Tamim has never played an Indian Premier League game.

He was part of the Pune Warriors India squad in both 2012 and 2013 and had to sit out the whole season. After the franchise became defunct, he was not picked again by any team. It remains to be seen whether Tamim will play the IPL again somewhere down the line.

Age is certainly on his side, and at 29, Tamim could certainly be considered to be picked in the upcoming editions of the IPL. He has represented his country an impressive 75 times and even has a T20I century to his name, adding to his credentials.
