The Sri Lankan all-rounder was a part of Delhi Daredevils

The Sri Lankan all-rounder, who made his international debut against Australia in 2009, has been part of Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors India, and Delhi Daredevils. He made his IPL debut against Chennai Super Kings in 2009. Since then, he has scored 724 runs at an average of 23.35. Mathews was draft by Delhi Daredevils in 2015 for a whopping price INR. 7.5 crores.

Owing to his injuries, he was out of the IPL for a considerable time but returned in 2017 with Delhi Daredevils. He found no bidders in the 2018 player auction and would find it hard to make it to any IPL team. His breakthrough in the International circuit came in 2014, scoring consecutive centuries in England.
