Parvinder Awana, the right-arm pacer from Delhi was bought by the Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2012 edition of the IPL at his base price.

He made his Ranji Trophy debut at an early age of 21 against Himachal Pradesh in 2007 and he took 12 wickets in 5 matches in his debut season.

His abilities to bowl sharp and move the ball off the pitch came to light when he made his debut in the IPL. Impressive performances in the IPL fetched him an international call-up for the T20 series against England.

He had a forgettable outing with the Indian team as he did not take a single wicket in the two matches he played and also conceded 71 runs with a very high economy of 11.83. He did not justify the faith of the selectors and since then he has not been considered by the selectors.

Since the 2015 edition of the IPL, he has not been able to find any franchise. He went unsold in the 2018 IPL auctions and it seems unlikely that he might return to the IPL.
