Australia’s all-rounder Shane Watson would be available for Rajasthan Royals at the start of the IPL as it could provide Royals a huge experience in the team. Watson has already done a fine job for Royals and would look to replicate the same. He would open the innings perhaps with Rahane.
Royal’s skipper Dravid was very happy as Watson would be available at the start as he can win minimum number of games to finish in top four. “Watson brings a lot of quality to the team,” Dravid told. “Last year, we missed him for the first eight or nine games. This time, we are lucky that way. If we can play to our potential, we should be able to do pretty well.”
Watson has a significant task in his hand as he has to guide lot of young players to play in crunch situations. His presence would indeed be a great boost for the team. They also have a better combination than last year, and it’s important to work out and find the best playing XI squad.
Rajasthan Royals Coach expressed about the balance between the team. He mentioned that the young cricketers grab their opportunity to establish themselves as a international cricketer. “It is essential to work out a fine balance between team and individual performance”.
“Our focus is to play at our level best and deliver top performances throughout the season. We as a team provide space to our players to take their own decisions, judge their performance and together we all help each other to execute these decisions on field. We try to not only improve the sporting skills in our players, but also help and groom their overall personality.”
Rajasthan Royals are in fact a good and potential side. Watson’s presence at the start is good news for them, and now its upto them how effectively Royals use them is what matters. They open their campaign against the defending champions Knight Riders on April 8 at the home ground Sawai Mansingh stadium.
