The first India-Bangladesh encounter took place on March 17, 2007, at Port of Spain. To be everyone's amazement Bangladesh won that match by 5 wickets, eliminating India from the tournament .


On Feb 19, 2011, India and Bangladesh met at Dhaka for their second World Cup clash. This time India came out on top winning the match by 87 runs.


The third India vs Bangladesh Cricket World Cup match was played on March 19, 2015 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Australia. India dominated Bangladesh by 109 runs in that game.


The most recent match of India vs Bangladesh was in World Cup 2019 where India won the match by 26 runs.
