Sheffield Shield - QLD v NSW: Day 3
David Warner has stepped down as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad

David Warner has stepped down as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad after his name came up in the ball tampering scandal. Sunrisers CEO K Shanmugam confirmed this development and announced that the new captain of the Orange Army will be revealed shortly. Warner has also been banned from International cricket for one year and won't participate in this year's IPL.

Now, Sunrisers will need a new captain for the team. The best choice for them would be Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvneshwar is one of the finest bowlers of the T20s. He is a very intelligent cricketer who is fully capable of leading the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Here are the five reasons why Bhuvi is the right choice to captain Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Bhuvneshwar is a calm and composed person which is essential for the team when they are in a difficult situation. He has a deep understanding of the game and he knows how to use his bowlers. Even last year, Bhuvi took control of the bowling department of Sunrisers and used to have regular conversations with young bowlers like Siddharth Kaul and Mohammad Siraj.

He guided them to bowl tighter lines and correct lengths. Bhuvneshwar even set the field for youngsters and had the faith of the entire team. He knows how to trap a batsman and thus, could prove to be a good manager of the bowlers and fielders.

#3. His commitment towards Sunrisers Hyderabad

Bhuvneshwar has been loyal towards Sunrisers Hyderabad right from the time when he was bought by them in 2014. He was the second fiddle in the initial years but today, he is their prime bowler. He is a now a key part of Sunrisers and has developed a deep understanding with the management and support staff of his franchise which again makes a good case for him to take the leadership duties.

Kumar has improved a lot as a bowler from where he started in International cricket. He can now bowl slower ones to deceive the batsmen, yorkers at death overs and knuckle-ball to get the breakthroughs. Today he has become one of the best T20 bowlers in the world.

He is a street-smart bowler who knows how to bowl in any situation.
