IPL 2018: How IPL reigned supreme on Twitter in Week 1

The much-anticipated IPL 2018 is here and the action is coming in thick and fast. The T20 live action is not only happening in the stadiums across the country, but it is also live on Twitter.

Twitter is what’s happening in the world of sports and #IPL is the biggest Indian sports league which is buzzing on Twitter. In the opening weekend, all the franchises tweeted about the new emojis which fans can unlock with special hashtags. Cricket speaks your language on Twitter, and this year’s IPL team emojis show just that.

Each team has its own unique emoji, with a few teams choosing hashtags in Indian languages as well. All fans have to do is use the hashtags below to unlock the emojis of their favourite teams.
