David Warner made his name in the Indian Premier League with the Delhi Daredevils. The Australian opener played his part in the 2012 IPL season when the Delhi team qualified for the playoffs for the last time. He was poor in the 2013 edition by his high standards, which didn't help in raising his market price.

The Delhi management decided against retaining him, a decision they had to regret. The Australian superstar was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he became an IPL legend. The left-handed batsman has been fantastic for the franchise over the years.

His consistent performances have helped SRH emerge as one of the most consistent teams in the league. He was fantastic in the 2016 campaign when SRH lifted the IPL trophy for the first time. David Warner has been fantastic in this season as he is the current holder of the Orange Cup. While Delhi currently have a good opening combination, a player like Warner at the top of the order would have helped them immensely.
