For the first 15 overs of Mumbai Indians innings, the pendulum was heavily in favour of CSK as they bowled according to their plans and did not give away any loose balls. But the lack of a proper death bowler troubled CSK badly as Mohit Sharma’s medium pace did not cause any trouble to Mumbai’s batsmen. Shardul Thakur lacks experience at the death and has a knack of bowling half volley’s during crunch moments. 16 runs came off Thakur’s last over and he is likely to be dropped in favour of a spinner for the next game. The veteran Dwayne Bravo bowled brilliantly up until the 20th over where Hardik Pandya showcased his power hitting skills. 29 runs came off Bravo’s last over which included three sixes, one of which was an incredible helicopter shot from Hardik Pandya. Mumbai scored 88 runs in their last 6 overs to make a competitive total, which they defended successfully.
