IPL 2019: One fringe player from each team who can impress if given a chance

Sherfane Rutherford was one of the best budget buys at the auction as he was bought for INR 2 Crore by the Capitals in the auction. Rutherford is a clean striker of the ball and a very able finisher. He's a decent right-arm pacer and offers great value and is a good utility player. He has shown his finishing abilities on many occasions but is likely to be relegated to the bench due to the presence of players like Colin Munro, Boult, Rabada and Ingram. He could get a chance once Rabada leaves but can shine if he gets enough chances.

Nathu Singh was bought by the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019 for INR 3.2 Crore but was unable to play that season. After being snubbed in the next couple of seasons, Nathu's tremendous domestic performances for Rajasthan meant that the Capitals signed him for his base price of 20 Lakhs. He's unlikely to make it to the XI due to the presence of world-class pacers and the Indian options like Avesh Khan but if given chances, his pace can create trouble for the batsmen.
