Deepak Chahar has been a very useful asset to the Chennai Super Kings. The 26-year old, who was a part of the temporary franchise Rising Pune Supergiants during 2016 and 2017 season, turned out to be a great prospect after he was bought by the IPL team CSK in IPL auction 2018.

Chahar had earlier performed well in the Syed Mushtaq Trophy of the 2018 season and it earned him a whopping 80 lakhs in the subsequent IPL auction. After the IPL, he soon got a national call-up and made his international debut in the third T20I against England.

Chahar's ability to swing the ball both ways has earned him success in the IPL. The guy also played some invaluable cameos with the bat last year which played a very important role in CSK's campaign to glory, last year. The franchise may look to use Chahar up the order this time around, as it will provide stability to the lower middle-order.
