A product of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, R Sai Kishore impressed one and all with his slow left-arm bowling in the tournament. The Super Kings roped in the young left-arm spinner at the fag end of the auction day at his base price of ₹ 20 lakh.

Sai Kishore boasts an economy rate of under 5.5 with 25 scalps from 22 matches in the shortest format. He also has a good record in List A and first-class cricket, and was the highest wicket-taker for Tamil Nadu in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy with 22 dismissals from six matches.

Although Chennai boasts some world-class spinners in Ravindra Jadeja, Imran Tahir, and Mitchell Santner, Sai Kishore deserves a chance to showcase his skills in the mega event.
