GT skipper Shubman Gill has been leading their batting charge from the front this season. He has scored 263 runs at an average of 43.83 and at a strike rate of 151.15 across seven innings.
His aggressive opening style, with a healthy mix of elegant strokeplay and powerful hitting, has been a nightmare for bowlers. Gill boasts a spectacular record against PBKS, his best against any IPL franchise. Across the 11 innings he has batted against Punjab, Gill has mustered 486 runs at a superb average of close to 70 and a strike rate of 145.51.
The PBKS bowlers would want to see Gill's back as early as possible; otherwise, things could turn sour for them quickly.
