In Indian Premier League 2010, Mandeep performed for Kolkata Knight Riders and was then bought by Kings XI Punjab in 2011 IPL Auction.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he played for Punjab and was the highest run scorer in 2015. In 2016, he made his international appearance in the T20I series against Zimbabwe and went on to play the whole series.

In the series, he scored 87 runs which included a victorious 52. Since then, Mandeep has not got any opportunity to perform even a solitary game for India.
