Ravichandran Ashwin joined the Chennai Super Kings side in the year 2009. However, his debut season didn’t end well as he played just 2 matches and picked 2 wickets from them. But the year 2010 proved to be a magical one for him as he played 12 matches and picked 13 wickets for CSK in that season.

His mystery spin and action earned him his T20I cap for India. Ashwin played his first international T20 match in the year 2010 itself against Zimbabwe on 12 June. So far, Ashwin has played 46 T20Is for India and has scalped 52 wickets at a miserly economy rate of 6.97.
