In the four matches played between the two teams, Pune Warriors India lead Kings XI Punjab by 3-1 since the inception of Pune Warriors in the IPL in 2011.

Pune Warriors India will be eager to improve on their dismal home record; they’ve managed to win only two of their 8 matches at the newly built Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune.

David Hussey, with 4821 runs against his name, is at the third position among top run-getters in the T20 format. Only Brad Hodge and Chris Gayle have scored more than him in the T20 cricket.

Pune Warriors so far have played 31 IPL games in all, but are still waiting for their first centurion.

Adam Gilchrist is the only wicketkeeper to have effected 50 dismissals in the IPL.

2012 head-to-head: Last year both the teams were pitted against each other in back-to-back matches, sharing the honours in the end. Warriors defeated Kings XI by 22 runs in the first game at Pune.

Meanwhile at Mohali, the game was a low-scorer, with Warriors being bundled out for 115 and Kings XI chasing it down comfortably. Dimitri Mascarenhas was the hero, picking up a rare five-for.

What Next: Kings XI Punjab will be back home to host two-time champions Chennai Super Kings on April 10, while Pune Warriors India will square off in their second home tie of the season when they take on the Dravid and co. in Rajasthan Royals on April 11.
