David Warner is the only player apart from Chris Gayle to win two Orange Caps, once in 2015 and once in 2017.

While SRH failed to make it to the playoffs in 2015, they qualified in 2017, only to be knocked out by KKR in the Eliminator.

Warner scored 641 runs from 14 innings, averaging a brilliant 58.27, hitting four fifties and one hundred in the 2017 edition of the IPL, while in 2015, he made 562 runs from 14 innings, averaging 43.23 and hitting four fifties to win the Orange Cap.
